Meghann completed her Dietetic Internship through the University of Delaware and her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Meghann is also a Certified Wellness Practitioner through the National Wellness Institute. Meghann's passion is achieving a healthy lifestyle through sustainable/environmentally friendly practice.

Cicely Thomas, M.Ed., RDN, LD (Diversity Liaison) is currently pursing a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition at the University of North Florida.  She is the Northwest Georgia WIC Service Nutrition Services Director and serves as the nutrition section president for the Georgia Public Health Association.  Cicely has been a public health clinician for 20 years and loves serving her community.

  Mairead O'Hare, RDN, LD (Student Services Coordinator) is a clinical dietitian at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, GA. Mairead completed her Dietetic Internship at Emory University Hospital and received her undergraduate degree at University of Georgia. Mairead has been a clinical dietitian for two years and has just joined the WM DPG. She also volunteers with the Georgia Dietetic Foundation which provides scholarships and stipends for students and dietitians.

  Justine Kurduck, PhD, RDN, LDN, CDCES (Member Survey Coordinator) is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Justine directs a top-ranked accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics, whose graduates achieve a 100% first-year pass rate on the national CDR Registered Dietitian Certification Exam. As a former clinical dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist, she utilizes many years of experience in the field to train future dietitians. The focus of her Ph.D. was on the role of health apps in glycemic control and dietary-related outcomes in patients with diabetes and obesity. Outside of work, Justine enjoys chasing her twin boys around to all of their sporting activities and hiking with her two German Shepherds, Hazel and Axl.

Networks and Alliances

Connie Diekman, MEd, RD, CSSD, LD, FADA, FAND (Networks Coordinator) is a Food and Nutrition Consultant in St. Louis, Missouri. A Former President of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and a former chair of the American Heart Association – Missouri affiliate. She is a Former Chair of the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group, a subunit of the Academy. A former television and radio nutrition reporter Diekman is quoted regularly by the media on nutrition issues. Diekman is the author of two books.

hollie-raynor-square_2019-2020-leadership-photos-250x250.png Hollie Raynor, PhD, RD, LDN (Academy Alliance Representative) is a Professor in the Department of Nutrition and the Interim Assistant Dean of Research in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences at the University of Tennessee. She holds a MS in Public Health Nutrition and a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She conducts research in lifestyle interventions for pediatric and adult weight management and has published over 125 peer-reviewed articles.

Nominations and Awards

Chris Weithman, MBA, RD, LDN, FAND (Volunteer Coordinator) is the Corporate RDN for HMR Weight Management Services Corp. [HMR] focused on improving quality of life for those living with obesity. Her areas of specialization include food labeling and product development for meal replacements. Founding member of WMDPG [prior terms as Chair and Treasurer]. She is also passionate about policy for RDN’s. Boston area resident with a retired husband and grown children.

  Jillian Reece, RD, CSOWM (Nominating Committee Assistant Director) Jillian Reece RDN, CSOWM is the lead Clinical Bariatric Dietitian for the Weight and Wellness Center at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. Her prior positions include Group Leader with Instinct health Sciences and inpatient and outpatient dietitian at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. Jill completed her dietetic internship at Mount Auburn in 2008 and graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition. In her free time Jill enjoys cooking, hiking in national parks and spending time with her 8 month old son.

  Aida Miles, EdD, MMSc, RDN, LMNT, FAND (Awards and Honors Coordinator) 
  Chelsea Price, MS, RD, LDN ( Awards and Honors)  is the bariatric coordinator at Tempe St. Luke's Hospital in Arizona. She completed the Certificate of Training in Obesity and Weight Management in 2017 and is new to volunteering with the DPG. She lives outside of Phoenix with her long-time boyfriend, three year old son, and two dogs. You can find her baking, hiking and spending time with family during free time.


Linda Gigliotti, MS, RDN, CDCES, CSOWM, FAND (Chair, Healthy Weight Task Force) earned her MS in nutrition education from the University of Delaware. For most of her career she served as Program Director of the Weight Management Program, University of CA, Irvine. Currently she serves as a workplace wellness consultant, continuing to work with clients on lifestyle behaviors to manage their health. Linda is a past Chair of WMDPG and the Commission on Dietetic Registration.


Nadea Minet, MS, RDN, LD (Resource Co-Coordinator) has been working in the field of Bariatrics for 9 years, and loves connecting with professionals and patients alike. She actively participate in providing education to the patients and serving in the community at various health and wellness events and conferences across the country. It’s her mission to make a healthy lifestyle something fun, enjoyable, and maintainable.


Samantha Stavola, MHA, RDN, LD (Resource Co-Coordinator) is a Register Dietitian/Nutritionist with over 9 years of professional experience in the Bariatric industry. She served as the Council on Practice chair for the Philadelphia Dietetic Association 2015-2017. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from La Salle University and Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Drexel University. She holds Adult Weight Management Certificates In-Training Level 1 and 2 from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Sam has also been a guest speaker at international conferences and is working on authoring several book chapters for an international publication.
