Certificate of Training in Weight Management

The Adult WM Certificate of Training Course is designed to produce providers of comprehensive weight management care who also know when and how to refer patients to other specialists. It is open to RDNs, NDTRs and the Academy practitioner members (active, student and international).

WM DPG Members can apply for a $1,000 WM DPG Stipend to Attend the Certificate of Training in Weight Management Program each year in May. Watch for details via email and on the website.

The Physical Activity Toolkit is a resource that is part of the CDR Certificate of Training course and is available for all to use.

Interdisciplinary Specialist Certification in Obesity and Weight Management

The Commission on Dietetic Registration offers the Interdisciplinary Specialist Certification in Obesity and Weight Management credential. The credential not only raises the standards in evidence-based practice benefiting clients and supporting CDR’s mission of protecting the public, but it also emphasizes the importance of the healthcare team. Board Certification is granted in recognition of an applicant's documented practice experience and successful completion of an examination in the specialty area.
