About our speaker:
Dr. Dorothy D. Sears, Professor of Nutrition in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University and Adjunct Professor of Medicine and Family Medicine and Public Health at UC San Diego. She has been conducting obesity-related cardiometabolic disease and cancer research since 1995.  Her transdisciplinary scope of study spans the molecular to population health levels. Dr. Sears studies novel health-promoting behaviors and their mechanistic effectors. She aims to identify new therapeutic targets and diagnostic biomarkers. Her most active areas of translational clinical research are focused on the health benefits of circadian alignment of food intake and reducing prolonged sitting time.
