Proficiency in social media can increase our reach in education and communication as well as increasing professional opportunities. Being impactful with social media posts is more than the number of likes and followers. Combatting disinformation and misinformation through critical thinking must be a key component of social media communication.
This session will explore the do’s and don’ts of social media efficacy and effectiveness. The rules of engagement should encompass civility, transparency, professionalism, ethics, disclosures, disclaimers, and attributions. Engage, empower, and impact your audiences by messaging with relevance, compassion, inclusivity, and diversity.
