WM Offers a Professional Development Fellowship Opportunity
WM has created a Fellowship to support the professional development of one RD to engage in a service learning project that promotes healthy lifestyle changes in the population. The Fellowship is sponsored solely by ARAMARK. The project objective includes creating a tangible product, program, or outcome that furthers WM and the RD's ability to effectively promote healthy lifestyle changes in a population. In addition, WM views this Fellowship as an additional member benefit which will advance the knowledge base and leadership of WM and the RD through a project that uses shared resources of the RD and RD leaders in the WM in the area of weight management.
All active members of the American Dietetic Association and WM who have been in practice in the field of weight management for at least 5 years are eligible to apply for this Fellowship. Exempt members include current employees of or consultants to ARAMARK and of competing contract foodservice management firms, WM Fellowship Steering Committee Members and all voting members of the WM Executive Committee.
- The Fellowship is designed to be a year-long project that is expected to take approximately 15% of a registered dietitian's professional time. A stipend of $10,000 will be provided with the Fellowship recipient responsible for any taxes.
