Welcome to the WM Mentor Network
Welcome to the new WM Mentor Network program.
The two main goals of the Mentor Network are:
- to increase the virtual functionality of the site for both mentors and mentees,
- to effectively 'match' mentees interested in gaining information with mentors who have 5 years or more experience in a weight management area
We are currently recruiting mentors and mentees. If you are interested in becoming a mentor or mentee for the WM DPG, please:
- Review the educational articles on mentoring shown below.
- Fill out the online mentor/mentee forms.
- Once you have submitted your form, Marietta Schmid, our Mentor Network Chair will contact you with the next steps.
- If selected for a mentoring pairing, please fill out the attached Mentor/Mentee Contract Form and share with your mentor or mentee partner to begin the mentoring process.
Below are the mentoring areas available as topics of discussion for a mentor and mentee. Once we receive your application, the Mentor Network Chair will begin matching a mentor with a mentee in each of the following areas of expertise.
- Corporate wellness
- Adult weight management-hospital
- Adult weight management-community
- Private Practice
- Bariatric Nutrition
- Pediatric weight management
- Business skills (sales & marketing, business development)
- Coaching/Counseling skills
